Two church services were held to officially start the year in prayer for the various forces including Police, Immigration, Customs, Environmental Health, Fire Department, Airports Authority Security, Prison Service and Road Traffic in both Grand Turk and Providenciales. The key message came from Bishop C. Alexander Williams who called on hearers to be honest and pay their taxes and dues to country… called on expat officers and residents to love this country where they are blessed to live their lives… called on the Police to restore true community policing and to exercise greater compassion… called on government to more highly consider the Belonger worker and to promote and pay them well… there was a challenge to introduce new, tougher laws and to make greater efforts to assimilate cultures and all were called to remember that there was a time in the TCI, when God was not left out. The service featured worship performances by the Abundant Life praise team, brass band music by the Royal Turks and Caicos Police Band and remarks from Deputy Police Commissioner, Rodney Adams; Opposition Leader, Sharlene Robinson and Premier, Rufus Ewing. The theme for the service was Serving God and Country. Related Items:aundant life ministries, bishop alexander C. Once installed, Antigua will be the first country in the region with the most advanced pre-5G network, delivering download peak speeds of up to 800 Mbps. In the trial’s next phase, the Company expects to test a 5G prototype reaching 2 to 5 Gbps peak speeds, which will have a profound positive impact on the island. The announcement came as part of Reid’s keynote address today to prominent Caribbean officials at the 33rd CANTO Annual Conference & Trade Exhibition in the Dominican Republic. “These are exciting times for C&W Communications, as we continue to invest and develop more pioneering innovations to meet the needs of our customers and enable growth in the region through transformative technology,” said Reid. “This pre-5G trial in the Caribbean, is a significant step towards the evolution of C&W’s mobile networks across the region to 5G, and providing Gigabit speeds to our customers in Antigua,” he continued.C&W’s pre-5G technology trial, a combined effort with parent company Liberty Global, is based on LTE Advanced Pro (LTE-A Pro), the latest LTE evolution, that delivers lower latency, more capacity and improved reliability for customers. This translates into a faster mobile internet experience where customers can better participate in advanced technology such as richer video experience and new apps.In early October, the Company will further test a 5G prototype network designed to deliver wireless data connections above 2 Gbps. Budget talks among House and Senate leadership staff and White House officials have made little headway as they enter their second week.“I believe that we’re nearing a point … that we’re going to have to start making some decisions,” Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Tuesday. So far, the two sides have started discussing possible offsets to pay for higher discretionary spending levels. While little progress has been made, top Democratic appropriators are calling on negotiators to reach agreement on a new topline spending level by early November so they have time to craft an end-of-the-year spending bill by the Dec. 11 expiration date of the current continuing resolution, reports CQ.The overarching goal for Democrats is to strike a deal to raise the Budget Control Act spending caps for fiscal 2016 and 2017 before House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) steps down at the end of the month. With House GOP leadership elections dominating conversation through the end of the month, it’s not clear how much progress can be achieved, though. The negotiations are at the staff level for now, but at some point will involve Republican and Democratic leadership, with appropriators left on the sidelines.“This is being negotiated at the leadership level. This is being done by Harry Reid, [Nancy] Pelosi, [Mitch] McConnell, etcetera. What I’m providing, as is Congresswoman [Lowey], we’re providing technical assistance and advice to our leadership as they negotiate, whether it’s on offsets, the status of touchy subjects in bills and so on,” Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.), ranking Democrat on Senate Appropriations, told CQ. Tags Fans responded with thanks to the cast and Netflix for the show’s run. Modrovich tweeted to one fan that a spinoff series or a movie isn’t off the table. Lauren German and Tom Ellis, the show’s leads, had posted on Instagram last month about the show’s fifth and final season. Later the stars tweeted their thanks to the fans for their support of the show. The show followed Lucifer Morningstar (played by Ellis), who deserted hell for Earth and opened a swanky nightclub called Lux in Los Angeles. Lucifer eventually starts solving crimes with LAPD homicide detective Chloe Dancer (played by German), who he harbors complicated feelings for. Karan OberoiInstagramTelevision actor and singer Karan Oberoi, who was accused of rape and blackmail by a female friend, has been granted bail on Friday, June 7 by the Bombay High Court. The high-profile case has had many twists and turns, giving rise to the debate on the #MenToo movement as far as sexual harassment is concerned.Karan Oberoi had been arrested for the alleged rape and blackmail of a female astrologer in Mumbai on May 6 and sent to 14 days’ judicial custody. In a very filmy twist to the tale, the complainant was attacked and it turned out that the goons attacking her were sent by her own lawyer, Ali Kashif Khan. On June 3, Khan surrendered before Oshiwara police. He was arrested and later granted bail by the Andheri court.Karan Oberoi’s friend and actress Pooja Bedi was the first to come out in support of him, saying he has been victimised by a woman who was in love with him. Karan’s sister Gurbani aka Vani, and his band members from Band of Boys, Sudhanshu Pandey, Chintoo Bhosle and Sherrin Verghese also spoke for him at a press conference soon after his arrest.Reports said the complainant had met the accused via a dating application in 2016, after which he promised to marry her. A report in Mumbai Mirror, without naming the actor, had said that the Oshiwara police had registered a first information report (FIR) against the actor-singer for allegedly raping an astrologer under the pretext of marrying her. The victim has also alleged that he had recorded a video on his mobile phone. This happened after he allegedly sedated her with spiked coconut water in his flat. He later allegedly extorted money from her.Much of this has turned out to be a conspiracy after the accused submitted WhatsApp chats with the complainant, clearly showing her one-sided interest in him and that he had never promised to marry her. Vani also confirmed that Karan and the complainant were never intimate.Karan Oberoi acted in the recent web series Inside Edge. He was also seen in the popular TV series like Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin and Saaya, apart from singing with Band of Boys.

Close Apple announced that it will be buying Intel’s cellular modem business for $1 billion. The transaction is expected to close by the last quarter of 2019. The acquisition would include a corporate exchange of about 2,200 employees from Intel with the transfer of IP and equipment to Apple. The envelope to the deal will enclose about 17,000 wireless patents on protocols for cellular standards, modem architecture, and operations. The deal also signs amendments stating that Intel will be allowed to develop modems for PCs, IoT devices and autonomous vehicles. The iPhone major though signed the deal with Intel; it will rely on Qualcomm’s hardware until the patent license agreement of six years between the two companies comes to an end.Apple had been using hardware from both, Intel and Qualcomm till last year when they closed a deal with Qualcomm to solely produce cellular modems for their devices. Intel had been struggling since then without any buyer for its products. Apple CEO Tim Cook launches the Apple March 2019 event. Courtesy apple.comApple had been trying to relieve itself from all third-party collaborations and focused on in-house manufacturing of the modems. It has been working on the modem technology for years through its research and development (R&D) centres in San Diego.According to some reports, the iPhone manufacturer will be able to complete its research and development to produce its own modems by 2022. So, there might be good news for the users as the research and development on modems might bring variations in the i-devices.
