Police Woman raped at home by stranger

first_imgA woman was sexually assaulted at knifepoint Tuesday by a stranger claiming to sell magazine subscriptions, Vancouver police said.At about 3 p.m., police said the suspect knocked on the door of the woman’s home at Stapleton Road and Fourth Plain Boulevard. He claimed to be selling magazine subscriptions and was holding a clipboard.Then, he displayed a knife and forced his way inside her home, raping her, according to a press release from the Vancouver Police Department.The knife was dagger style with a 12-inch blade, police said. Vancouver police are searching for the assailant. He is described as a dark-skinned black man, between 30 and 35 years old, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He had a short Afro and was unshaven with a slight beard and mustache. He was wearing a red jacket with a hood and had a thin gold hoop earning on his right ear and a thin vertical scar on the left side of his neck.Anyone with information is asked to call Vancouver police Detective Darren McShea at 360-487-7431 or Detective Barb Knoeppel at 487-7436.last_img
